Speaking in Seattle Thursday April 30th--Bird Friendly Coffee, Chocolate and Maple Syrup

April 17, 2026

Seattle-area friends! Come learn about sweet Bird Friendly foodstuffs with me—I will be in the big city at the end of April, speaking at Birds Connect Seattle (formerly Seattle Audubon).

Join me at the Birds Connect Seattle HQ at 616 Olive Way in downtown Seattle on Thursday, April 30th, 2026, 6:30-7:30 pm for the illuminating and appetite-inducing presentation, “How Sweet It Is: Your love for coffee, chocolate and maple syrup can support bird conservation.”

Preregistration required: Please sign up at this link and you may use the "scholarship" level ticket when registering.

Details of the event:

Did you know how you grocery shop can impact the conservation status of the migratory birds you love? Learn about the eco certifications from The Smithsonian Institute and Audubon Vermont which support wild birds habitats in the coffee, cocoa and maple syrup markets! I don’t just share information about these treats, I actually SHARE THE TREATS: The presentation includes samples of Raaka Chocolates and Couching Lion Maple Syrup, both companies participants in the programs I talk about in the presentation.

Come tasting session time, Jill from Cloud City Coffee will also join me with samples of her bird-friendly coffee that she roasts with a blend of two Smithsonian certified beans. Chocolate, maple syrup, AND coffee!

Preregistration required: Please do so at Birds Connect Seattle. See you there!
